New Pennsylvania White Perch Record

record white perch James Clark was fishing the Delaware River for a striped bass and he caught a big one.  The fish weighed 1 pound 12 ounces.  Not very big for a striped bass but huge for a white perch.  In fact, it is a Pennsylvania record.  Congratulations to James.  Great catch!

It’s funny how most (maybe not most, but a lot) of state records for smaller game fish have been set while the fisherman was fishing for something else! It seems like our crappie records are broken usually by bass fisherman - same with some bluegill records.
